The truth is I have always felt weird, awkward and uncomfortable about soliciting donations. All the donations I've received have been from friends, my Star Trek fans and every year we throw one banging birthday party for my 'R3' boys and they give up birthday gifts in lieu of donations to the foundation and that has worked well enough but in December of last year I tripled the size of the foundation literally overnight. I took on a dream team of 33 Haitian community workers, who happen to be the ones creating all of this incredible music, theater and live performances. So, in order to retain 501c3 non-profit status I need 63% of costs to be funded by donations coming from  sources other than myself or my family which is where I get weird. My monthly running costs as of now is 30k, I'd like to double that by 2022. I keep my running costs low and execution high because I'm dedicated to fiduciary responsibility. It's personal, because I know what it means to those whom I'm working for. I've thought of forgoing the non-profit route and just making this a personal pursuit of passion but I just dig when people show up out of nowhere like miracles to help me with this, plus I need your support to grow this to where I see it can go. The truth is I can't do this alone. I need you. So, regardless of my awkwardness, I am leaving the option open for those of you who wish to be a part of this with me.
