KREYOL Van yo ap soufle ak fòs pou derasinen m gwo lapli kap mouye m ap bat pou fè m bat ba. E si tout kalamite yo kap frape m nan tout kwen pa ka kase m, se paske m redrese djanm pou m batay paske m gen lespwa solèy la ap leve e klere demen maten, bagay saa banm kouray ak lafwa poum kenbe tankou wozo ke m ye fas ak pwoblem lavi map kenbe fò pou bagay yo change e map batay ankor chak fwa pou sa. ENGLISH The winds blow at full force through my core, causing me to bend and the torrential rains soak through my being, causing me to bow down. But these storms from all sides will never break me, I straighten up, head high, without ever letting go because the hope that the sun will shine again in the morning arms me with courage and faith to continue to hold on like the reed that I am, facing the vicissitudes of life. I will hold strong for a revival, even more seasoned. #R3VOLVEHAITI #TANKOUWOZO #COMMEUNROSEAU #LIKEAREED #HAITI

- ENGLISH - Are we STILL bullying? This has got to stop! Trying to bring someone else down, or make them feel bad about themselves really just shows that you don't really like yourself either. Its time we loved ourselves, and loved others! We only know ourselves by the reflection we see of ourselves in another’s eyes. If children do not have anyone in their world who truly sees them, how are they to see themselves? Can you see the amazing gifts they brought into this world? The magic, courage, tenacity, intelligence, wit, beauty, and sweetness? If children do not have at least one person in their life who truly sees them then HOW ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE?? I was blessed enough to have two people who saw me as a young girl. I knew who I was because of how they saw me. They both passed away before I hit my teen years and with them the me who I knew also faded. I no longer had anyone who saw me and so I couldn’t see myself either. I searched for many many lonely years before I found someone who could truly see me and the funny thing is, I didn’t believe him. I was so convinced that I was who the world told me I was. Who my teachers, friends, parents, bosses, neighbors and strangers told me I was. But none of them could see me beyond who they preferred I be. I didn’t fit even as much as I tried to conform in their worlds. I didn’t look the way they preferred I look, or speak the way they insisted I speak or think the way they wished I’d think. I was a behavioral glitch that just never fit. Children hold on to your courage, hold on to your hope. The eyes that can see you are designed to find you and all the beautiful gifts you brought into this world that only your magic can wield. Each of us are responsible for the children in our worlds. When you see their magic, let them know. Say it out loud so everyone can hear because they are too young to have heard it too many times and it feels good to be reminded that you’re magical and remember us adults are just children mostly grown up. Practice “put ups” rather than “put downs” Be someone to turn to rather than someone to hide from. Find joy in others joy rather than their pain If you’re hurting, hold on…the eyes that are designed to see you are also designed to find you. Hold on. We at R3VOLVEHAITI, we strive to see you The song “Hopeful” was inspired by several things. 1. The resilient kids in our amazing film program 2. The wonderful music duo Bars & Melody and 3. “Hope” by Twista & Faith Evans - KREYOL - Èske nou TOUJOU ap anmègde ak takinen lòt? Si se konsa ,nou dwe sispann! Eseye fè yon lòt moun parèt piti, oswa fè yo santi yo mal nan pwòp tèt yo reyèlman sa jis montre ke ou pa reyèlman renmen tèt paw non plis .Li lè li tan pou nou renmen tèt nou, ak renmen lòt yo! Èske ou ka wè gwo kado yo te pote nan mond sa a? Maji ya, kouraj, tenasite, entèlijans, konprann, bote, ak tandrès? Si timoun yo pa gen omwens yon moun nan lavi yo ki vrèman konprann yo ebyen KÒMAN YO SIPOZE KONNEN Kiyès yo ye?? Nou chak responsab pou timoun ki nan mond nou yo. Lè ou wè mirak yo ye a , fè yo konnen. Di li byen fò pou tout moun ka tande paske yo twò piti pou yo pa tande li twòp fwa epi son bon sansasyon pou ou sonje ke ou se on mirak Epi sonje nou menm granmoun yo se jis timoun grandi. Pratike "leve moun anwo" olye ke "rale moun anba" Paret on moun yo ka adrese olye de yon moun pou li yap kache.

Vanyan Zeidman (Zeidman's Stand) - R3VOLVE HAITI - Musical Film

- English - Meet Zeidman, a 7 year old boy who although is lucky enough to go to school unlike many other Haitian children, faces many other challenges in his everyday life. Zeidman's story represents the life of many children in Haiti, who feel voiceless and experience every day, different types of mental and physical abuse from their family, teachers and peers, who pass their own frustration and hardships onto these children. In this film we dive into Zeidman’s life, to understand his powerlessness and suffering in the face of his abusers and yet finds the courage to take a stand. This is Zeidman's Stand. - Kreyol - Zeidman se yon ti gason 7 lane ki malgre li gen chans ale lekòl,kontrèman ak anpil lòt timoun ayisyen, ap fè fas ak anpil lòt defi nan lavi li chak jou. Istwa Zeidman reprezante lavi anpil timoun ann Ayiti, ki santi yo san vwa epi ki sibi diferan kalite abi mantal ak fizik chak jou nan men fanmi yo, pwofesè yo ak kanmarad yo, ki transmèt pwòp fristrasyon yo ak difikilte yo sou timoun sa yo. Nan fim sa a, nou antre nan lavi Zeidman, pou nou konprann enpuisans li ak soufrans li nan men moun ki ap fè abi sou li, men ki jwenn kouraj pou l aji. #R3VOLVEHAITI #ZeidmanStand #Haiti

Soup Joumou - R3VOLVE HAITI - Official Music Video

Ann pataje posyon soup libète a. Li lè pou derasinen rayisman, efase resantiman ak leve kanpe! An nou fè nasyon nou an tounen yon egzanp bèl e ki klere ankò! - English - On January 1, Haitians both at home and in the diaspora celebrate the first successful slave rebellion IN THE WORLD in 1804 that transferred political power to the slave population, with soup Joumou. During slavery, only the French colonial masters and plantation owners were allowed to enjoy this delicacy, a dish prepared by slaves. After the revolution, the free Haitians were finally able to eat this meal. Haitians, we are the first free black people! Let's not forget the valiance of our ancestors that runs in our veins! Let's share the potion of the freedom soup. Time to unroot hate, wipe resentment out and stand up! Let's make our Nation a glorious and shining example once again!

These youth, each representing a unique beacon of light in their community, joined hands and voices at our 2021 Summer Kids Camp “ImaginArt” during a very difficult summer for Haiti marked by the assassination of President Jovenel, a devastating earthquake, escalating gang violence and kidnappings, political instability and fuel shortages paralyzing most of the country … … Yet together in the mountains just north of Port Au Prince , we have created a safe place of healing, love and empowerment. The kids in our “Word Craft” and “Critical Thinking” classes were writing lyrics about loving one another for a more beautiful Haiti. Cool beats and catchy tunes could be heard coming out of the “Beat” and “Guitar” classes. Boys and girls in our “Videography” class were working to present their world through their eyes by creating shot lists and lining up the crew picked from amongst themselves to shoot the music video. Vocal cords warm ups and melodies were belted out of the “Vocal Technique” class and the “Dance” class team was hard at work choreographing and rehearsing behind closed doors. Please enjoy the “Lanmou Fo” Music Video! We hope that you feel how proud the kids are of this song and music video by R3volve Haiti Youth.

I am a Father - R3VOLVE HAITI - Official Music Video

- Kreyol - «Koze papa » Yon papa se ewo pitit Gason I e I se premye lanmou pitit fi l. Vrè fòs on papa nan kay la kraze zafe neg kal chache Lavi ki pa jam la a. Papa ak figi patenel menm jan ak moun kap bay swen, oubyen koparan konstwi mariaj ki fò ak bon relasyon, fanmi ki djanm ak timoun ki reyisi. Timoun yo devlope anba pwoteksyon ak fyète papa yo. De jou an jou, papa yo yo ap change vye kwayans yo, e yo mennen nou pi pré kote fanm ak gason se menm. Anpil etid ak pwogram fet sou manman e pou manman yo, sa ki ekstradine, men nou bliye papa yo nan nas filè akoz ansyen jijman nou genyen sou yo, kwayans ki gèmen nan kilti nou ak jan nou gade gason. Papa yo bezwen konje patènèl ki ap bon pou yo lè yo nan fanmi ki gen yon bebe ki fèk fèt. Yo bezwen swen, soulajman, atravè pwogram ki devlove pou ede papa yo rete ak fanmi yo pandan yap pran swen I nan pote kichoy nan kay la. Nou plis bezwen ede papa yo pou yo vin pi bon papa, nan yon kilti ak nan yon model ekonomik kap minimize pouywa yo. Jodi a, nap selebre papa ki kanpe e ki fè diferans lan nan bay bon enspirasyon pou n gade kwayans lontan yo yon lot jan, janbe baryè ki gen ant fam ak gason ak baryè, sosyete ya mete depi lontan. Tout papa yo , nou se Ewo nou yo! - English - ‘The Dad Effect’ A father is a son’s first hero and a daughter’s first love. The true power of a father in the home shatters the old breadwinner, absentee stereotypes. Fathers and father figures as caregivers and co-parents build strong marriages and relationships, resilient families and successful children. Children thrive under the protection and pride of a Father. More and more fathers are going against the grain breaking down old beliefs, moving us closer to gender equality. Many studies and programs have been developed on and for mothers which is amazing but let us not let our fathers fall through the cracks because of old stereotypes, cultural beliefs and gender assumptions. Fathers need appropriate paternity leave to be with their new infants, they need care, relief and programs to be developed to help fathers be with their families while also providing for their families. There is much need to help fathers be fathers in cultures and economies that undervalue the power of a Father. Today we celebrate the Dads who stand up and stand out inspiring all of us to rethink past cultural beliefs, gender norms and societal standards. Fathers you are our heroes.

BEGINNINGS

IN 2010 AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE, I VISITED HAITI WITH MY DEAR FRIEND SEAN PENN AND HIS DISASTER RELIEF ORGANIZATION JPHRO NOW KNOWN AS CORE. HE AND HIS TEAM SHOWED ME A SIDE OF HAITI THAT A SIMPLE GUEST OR TOURIST COULD NOT SEE. I SAW THE BEAUTY AND RESILIENCE OF A PEOPLE HELD DOWN BY CAPITALISM. I SAW ENTIRE FAMILIES STRUGGLING TO PROVIDE THE MOST BASIC NEEDS FOR EACH OTHER. I SAW A LAND AND A PEOPLE SURVIVING THE RESULTS OF A LONG HISTORY OF POWERFUL AND INSENSITIVE FOREIGN INTERVENTIONS.

HAITI IS MEANT TO BE AN INDEPENDENT REPUBLIC AND A SAFE HAVEN FOR ALL 'FREEDOM SEEKERS', THE 'PEARL OF THE ANTILLES'.

THE CHALLENGES ARE GREAT BUT IF HAITI HAS TAUGHT ME ANYTHING, ITS THAT WE CAN ALL DO, ENDURE AND NAVIGATE HARD THINGS.

SHE IS A REVOLUTIONARY AND SHE WAKES UP MY OWN INNER REVOLUTIONARY. SO, I TOOK A PAGE OUT OF SEAN'S WILD, WILD WEST PLAY BOOK AND FOUNDED THE RAPINO FOUNDATION NOW KNOWN AS 'R3VOLVE HAITI'

THE INSPIRATION FOR R3VOLVE COMES FROM MY THREE SONS. RYDER, RIVER AND REX AND THE DREAM TO SEE THE WORLD REVOLVE AROUND HAITI THE WAY I REVOLVE MY SONS. IT'S TIME FOR THE WORLD TO MAKE AMENDS TO HAITI WITH A PENANCE THAT REACHES THE HAITIAN PEOPLE NOT HAITI AS A PAWN ON THE GLOBAL CHESS BOARD AND FURTHERMORE TRUSTS THAT HAITIANS ARE THE BEST STEWARDS OF THEIR OWN CARE.

I BELIEVE THAT HAITIANS KNOW WHAT'S BEST FOR HAITI, THEY JUST NEED TO BE HEARD IN A WORLD THAT'S VERY LOUD. SO I HAND THEM A MICROPHONE AND A VIDEO CAMERA AND AMPLIFY THEIR VOICE. THEY WILL BE HEARD. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS EMPOWER, ENCOURAGE, ELEVATE AND PROTECT THIS LAND AND THESE PEOPLE. SIMPLE.

THIS IS ME AS A FOREIGNER MAKING AMENDS TO THIS LAND FOR THE ATROCITIES AND INJUSTICES SHE HAS ENDURED AT THE HANDS OF FOREIGNERS AND I DO IT WITH GRACE, STRENGTH AND EYES WIDE OPEN.

HAITI REPRESENTS HOPE & LIBERTY TO ALL STRUGGLING PEOPLES AND ONE DAY HAITI WILL BE A BEACON OF LIGHT FOR ALL UNDERDEVELOPED AND SUPRESSED COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD. THIS IS WHY MY FAMILY PLACES OUR FOCUS ON HAITI. SHE DESERVES THE CHANCE TO SHINE.

WE ALL DO.

TEAM R3VOLVE
